ELEMENTZ

Elementz (www.elementz.org) is a non profit hip hop youth arts center that was started in response to the racial tension and rioting in Cincinnati in the early 2000’s. The mission of Elementz is to teach inner-city youth how to find their creative voice through hip hop culture, in order to strongly encourage personal growth and life success.

I’m grateful to have been able to make Elementz a significant part of my career. It is my full time work and I am now going in to my 10th year of serving within Elementz as the Creative Director.

 

 

Salaam Community

In the 4th quarter of 2011 I was invited to take part in the founding efforts of a non profit called the Salaam Community (SC).  The mission of Salaam Community is to engage seekers in safe space for spiritual and social enrichment, striving towards a holistic practice of Islam.  Since 2012 we’ve offered several educational and social events for the greater community.  I am currently still serving as a board member of SC.
